VariSearch is organized around a site-directory listing.  Our search results will produce output that is very similar to the matching site's directory listing.  The more attractive, informative, and eye-catching your listing is, the more likely a user will be to click on your link and come to visit your site.

VariSearch started in May, 2004.  We consider the next few months our introductory period.  While we're getting everything coded and tested, we will be keeping our prices extremely reasonable.  During this introductory period, we are  offering 1 upgrade in exchange for a link to us on your website.  To take advantage of this, go to our Webmasters/Link2us page.

If you are an advertiser, looking for a promotion source

One thing you won't have to worry about at VariSearch is "pay-per-click" charges.  While we may carry some ads from third party advertisers that are pay per click, the model for our internal ad system is fee-for-impressions (CPM).

We have banner space in the top-right section of each page, and button space in the right-hand column.  For your convenience, we have produced an Ad Sizing Guide

All advertising done directly through VariSearch is provided on a CPM (cost per thousand impressions/views) basis.  For more information, check out our Rate Card.

Ads can be very tightly targeted, which can both improve the effectiveness and expand the length of time your ad runs.  You can control where your ad appears by specific category, or any part of our our category "tree".   Additionally, if a search result includes sites from any of your chosen categories, the results page will include your ad as well.  Ads can also be tied to specific non-search pages on our site.  You can also opt to 'lock' a category (become the sole advertiser), or be part of a standard ad rotation.
